FROM THE FOREWORD: "Nowadays, many people in all parts of the world are discovering the Orthodox Church as the only source of life and truth able to satisfy man’s spiritual thirst and hunger. And because they feel that only in the Orthodox Church they can find the truth and the life which are offered as a divine gift by Christ, they wish to acquire a better knowledge of this true faith and to experience and participate in the life in Christ and in the Church’s worship. Christ said I am the way, and the truth, and the life: He is the truth in which Christians believe, the way which leads to life, and the true life itself.

In the pages that follow, you will find a humble attempt to come, with the help of the holy Fathers, to a closer understanding of the faith of the Church and to learn about the worshipping life celebrated in it, so that we can live the life in Christ more deeply. It also endeavors to transmit the Gospel of salvation (Eph. 1: 13) proclaimed by the holy Apostles and our God-bearing Fathers."

    Great overview of the Orthodox faith, for the seasoned parishioner or someone new to the faith like myself. Book is beautifully made. The text is at a size that is comfortable for the eyes. I plan on using this book for years to come for valuable reference.

    Great Quality and Beautiful

    This book is beautiful and came with a bookmark that had the cover art and title on one side and a prayer on the other. This book is not a hardcover but I wouldn't call it a softcover either in my opinion. I've only read the first chapter so far and the font is easy to read and the layout is great. The red borders on some of the pages are beautiful and I am glad they didn't just go all black ink . Again it is a Quality and beautiful book.

    This book is so well made and the content and layout are so helpful in my journey into Orthodox Christianity. I have read through quite a bit and am very happy and blessed to have it.

    The Fathers speak

    I bought this, eager to hear a contemporary voice from the Holy Mountain. I got more than I bargained for... reading, it was as if the Fathers were teaching me. The closing section on the Deification of Man, resounding with the witness of St. Gregory Palamas to the uncreated energies and grace, demonstrates the authenticity of the Orthodox Church as the very one confessed in the Nicene Creed. Her Spirituality is found in no other church.

    Excellent and Comprehensive Catechism book

    We use this book for our parish catechism class and it is an excellent and comprehensive instruction for setting those who are coming into the Orthodox faith on their two feet to be able to continue to go deeper.
